Waking up to flying bullets and exploding bombs, my ears tightening as I darted between destroyed buildings, heading back to the refugee camp, that was once my vision of my future when I was a child.
I am a Vietnamese photographer and journalist based in Berlin, Germany. I was born in Hanoi - a city that is more than four millennium old and the diverse center of culture, politics, and art in South East Asia.
I originally studied international relations to become a diplomat, but my life turned towards photography and I have been working as a journalist for more than 10 years. As a result, my work is strongly influenced by Photojournalism. These influences are, however, balanced with my love of nature and my distinctly subtle, feminine tone. With an eye for detail, shapes, and forms, I have developed a style with both layers and metaphors, as well as preciseness and minimalism in my work.
